A Giant Wooden Vagina
The artist behind this piece, Finnish artist Tapio Wirkkala, is noted for his use of wood to make various leaf and bowl like scultpures. That being said, this is a vagina. No one can convince me otherwise.
Beethoven and the Deathly Hallows
This haunting sculpture was intended to serve as a model for a monument to Beethoven. According to the lot description, the veiled figure represents a muse while the two men behind him whisper taunts into his ear, apparently mocking his deafness.
A deed for a house signed by buyers Madonna and Sean Penn, and seller Olivia Newton John.
Legally binding proof that this was a thing that actually happened in 1985.
December 16th at Christie's London, low estimate $6,000.
